Perini Ranch Black Eyed Peas
Ingredients
- 1 lb Dried Farmhouse Vineyards Black Eyed Peas
- 1/4 cup Bacon Grease
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 pickled, whole Jalapeño
Directions
1. Pre-soak dried peas for a minimum of 2 hours before cooking.
2. Adding water when needed.
3. Add bacon grease and salt.
4. Heat on medium high heat and stir occasionally.
5. Scoop out the foam that’s at the top of the pot.
6. Heat to 165 degrees and until peas are tender.
7. Add jalapeno and serve.
